Question 1 of 10

How confident are you that every user account in your organization has multi-factor authentication enabled?

MFA is the single highest-leverage security control. Without it, one stolen password gives an attacker full access to email, files, and potentially your entire network.

Question 2 of 10

When was the last time someone performed a full test restore of your most critical business data?

A backup that has never been tested is a theory, not a safety net. Ransomware, hardware failure, and human error do not care that your backup job shows green in the dashboard.

Question 3 of 10

How would you describe the endpoint protection across your workstations and servers?

Traditional antivirus that relies on signature matching has not been adequate since 2019. Modern threats require behavioral detection, EDR, and centralized management.

Question 4 of 10

How are operating system and application patches managed across your environment?

Unpatched systems are the entry point for the majority of successful cyberattacks. Every month a patch is missed is a month of known vulnerabilities sitting open.

Question 5 of 10

Does your organization run security awareness training with realistic phishing simulations?

People are the hardest part of security. Without ongoing training and measured simulations, your team is guessing about which emails are real and which are attacks.

Question 6 of 10

When was your firewall firmware last updated, and is your network segmented?

A firewall running firmware from 6+ months ago has known vulnerabilities. Network segmentation limits blast radius when something gets through.

Question 7 of 10

If your primary server failed right now, how long would it take to restore operations?

Your recovery time objective (RTO) determines how long your business is down when disaster strikes. If you do not know the answer, you do not have a disaster recovery plan.

Question 8 of 10

When was the last time your IT provider or internal team presented a technology roadmap to leadership?

Technology without strategy is just expense. A quarterly business review with real data, hardware lifecycle planning, and a forward-looking roadmap separates a partner from a vendor.

Question 9 of 10

If the person who manages your IT disappeared tomorrow, how much of your environment would be a mystery?

Undocumented IT creates a single point of failure. Network diagrams, admin credentials, vendor contracts, and equipment inventories should be accessible and current.

Question 10 of 10

How would you rate your overall confidence in your current IT setup?

Trust your gut. If something feels off, it probably is. The businesses that act on that feeling before the incident are the ones that avoid the worst outcomes.
