What POP Keyboard Does
POP Keyboard is a Chrome browser extension that displays an on-screen touch keyboard when a user taps or clicks on a text input field. It is designed for use on touchscreen kiosk and tablet devices where a physical keyboard may not be present or where the operating system’s built-in keyboard does not automatically appear.
Data Collection
POP Keyboard does not collect any data of any kind. Specifically:
• We do not collect keystrokes or text entered through the keyboard.
• We do not collect browsing history or the URLs of pages visited.
• We do not collect personal information of any kind.
• We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party services.
• We do not transmit any data to any server — including our own.
• We do not store any information outside of your local Chrome browser storage (used only to remember your chosen color theme preference).
Permissions Explained
POP Keyboard requests the following Chrome permissions, each with a specific and limited purpose:
activeTab / scripting / tabs — Required to inject the on-screen keyboard into the current browser tab so it can appear over the page content when a text field is focused. No page content is read or transmitted.
storage — Used solely to save your selected color theme (Dark, Light, High Contrast, or Colorful) so it persists between browser sessions. No personal data is stored.
host_permissions (all URLs) — Required so the keyboard can appear on any website the user visits. Without this, the keyboard would only work on specific pre-listed websites.
Local Storage Only
The only data POP Keyboard saves is your chosen color theme preference (e.g., “dark” or “light”), stored locally in Chrome’s sync storage. This is a single word stored on your own device. It is never transmitted to RE2 Technology Consultants or any third party.
Third Parties
POP Keyboard does not integrate with, communicate with, or share data with any third-party services, APIs, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.
Children’s Privacy
POP Keyboard does not collect any information from anyone, including children. It is a fully local, display-only utility.
Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL. Continued use of the extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
